New Arabic Channel on UBI - AUS-CITY Message Forums

Hi, A new channel has replaced the greece holidays channel. The channel is Al-Shasha which means the Screen channel. It is an arabic version of Showtime. Been busy lately, things quiet at UBI by the look at it.

I reckon they do not have any problems for the payments as all authorised direct debit, also, they have a free run for channel arrangements and trial period. So, things will non be HOT till next year.

they didn't let me pay by direct debit, i sent a money order. have they started direct debiting?

ShaRp, It's so strange, they allways insisted on getting bank/credit card details for direct debit info. before accepting any subscription. Subscription was simply based on direct debit! Whoops, ppl learnt from past and rejected any forces than, or they have such a poor admin system can not organise a bank direct debit system for accounting. What a world, its called UBI World!

OK They will have big issues doing direct debits,,, NO BANK will allow them to get a direct debit facility... because of the TARBS issue. To offer direct debit you have to show SOLD business plan as well as offer security equal to 2 months of direct debit turnover.. Same with Credit cards business plan and solid management background so NO ChaRGE backs will be done.. UBI will have hard time getting these facilities... beacuse of TARBS.. and as soon as the banks do a credit check on REGINA and they see TARBS "Under ADMIN" They slam the door shut,,,.. hahahahah suk sh$t TARBS/UBI

Uh I forgot UB$ are so cash strapped last month they were 10 days late in paying their bill to OPT$S... They were 15 minutes from being switched off.... You should have seen it,,,the CFO of OP$US and 4 senior management were all in the one room waiting for the big fat check and it came in just in time.... Next time they wont get the 10 days.. they will get two... and then its good by.... I really hope they go late again.....

Phil I forget to ask... has your mate got his christmas present yet the late one he was waiting on from MB????

Between 10 and under 30 Mill. I loved that day I was bought up to the Office to be sacked. I dont accept this line about the 1 year upfront.. as my info was passed to me over a friday night beer session from one of my mates in Optus Wholesale.... and he had no reason to bulshit... But at least we get some more infos about unknown staff for the SAT providers which may help ppl to choose the right one to go with or help them to make long term commitments.

Somewhere in the middle is the truth. If i was getting a sub in Ubi, i would be doing it one month a time and NO direct Billing. Still 60 bucks too expensive for a few greek channels(still waiting to see what they get) I can go to my friend turkish video place who stocks greek series for 1 buck a tape.Alot of tape to watch if i spend 60 bucks...... mixo

When they get CNN and other english channels it will be worth it. $15 a week, I mean for 24 hours a day entertainment what $15 a week?

yeah i agree, only then will the package be worth the money. also can the quality be half decent!

Its getting interesting and I think Satfreak in his posts poses some serious questions. Take a look at the big picture folks. UBI is Tarb's version 2.. and heading the same way but this time far quicker

I don't see this relevant to the title of this thread. You may like to open another one... Looks like UBI is upping the Arabic Channel content to compete with WMI. What do the Arabics think of this channel.

WMI has the best Lebanese channels and UBI has other channels so its a clear choice.
