Psychic Derek Ogilvie is the baby mind reader - called in when parents have tried all else, Derek communicates with children to find the reasons behind their problem behaviour, tantrums and sleepless nights. He now has a programme on UK TV - a fascinating cross between 'Supernanny' and 'Most Haunted'. Derek Ogilvie is one of Scotland's best-known and respected psychics, and exhibits his rare ability of being able to communicate telepathically with babies and young children.

Derek has a book out at the moment, in which He shares the story of his rollercoaster life and how he rediscovered his psychic powers and his true calling in life. At the age of nine, Derek realised he was psychic when his dead neighbour started visiting him every night while he was in bed ghost. But as a young man, Derek's psychic abilities took a back seat as he concentrated on building a business empire and becoming a millionaire money However, five years ago, Derek's business went bust, his house was repossessed, his partner left him and his grandmother died no
Only then did Derek take stock of his life and reconnect with his psychic gift to start helping other people. It was at this point that Derek realised he could also communicate with babies and young children, as well as animals. Funny and poignant, this is Derek's amazing story.

If you get the chance, watch this programme it is fascinating!

I'll look forward to this program! flower This idea of communicating with babies (or reading their minds) reminds me of the Dog Whisperer. He works with dogs and can apparently tame any dog behaviour. When I saw him once on TV he appeared to merely stand in the presence of dogs and they would behave well. From his website:

dog
Cesar Millan is a world-renowned dog behavior specialist, known for his uncanny ability to walk large packs of dogs at a time. Not only that, but from poodles to pit bulls, these now well-behaved canines have each been rehabilitated, rescued from a wide range of extreme behavior issues - anything from insecurity to severe 'red zone' aggression!

Born and raised in Mexico, his blessed gift, a primal communion with nature, had always come naturally to him, but his unique connection to canines became most noticeable around the age of 13. Everywhere Cesar went, there always seemed to be a swirl of dogs surrounding him. The locals gave him a nickname, "El Perrero" - Spanish for "The Dogman".

Thanks for the info on the Baby Mind Reader...I'll keep my eye out for it! eyebrow

Just a bit more info on what 'telepathy' is:

The psychic phenomena by which communication occurs between minds, or mind-to-mind communication. Such communication includes thoughts, ideas, feelings, sensations and mental images. Telepathic descriptions are universally found in writings and oral lore. In tribal societies such as the Aboriginal people of Australia, telepathy is accepted as a human faculty, while in other societies it is thought a special ability belonging to mystics and psychics. Although not scientifically proven, telepathy is being increasingly studied in psychical research.
