@ YU4CFG, I just finished my HSC, so this should be still fresh in my head.

The checksum created (when checksum error checking is used) when a block of data is transmitted can itself be used to generate a more useful error detection value. CRC works as follows...
1. The checksum number is substituted into a formula and a sixteen bit remainder is calculated
2. Once the data has reached its destination, the received checksum is put through the same process
3. If the remainder prduced is identical to the received then data has been correctly received, otherwise a retransmission is requested

This is the best error checking method, depending on the application, well... out of all the other ones we were taught.

[ 26. I don't get how OBN gets the rights to relatively new movies such as Chicago, SpyKids 3D, when we here, get them 3 or 4 years after cinema release

so looks like OBN could be in a play to come in UBI...I heard that residents in USA are to get PINK EXTRA channel which so far has been only reserved to Europe. If there are 2 spots left to fill for Balkan Package I d like them to be OBN or NOVA and RTS..I think those are the only one decent

yes reuder I have bought FTA topfield for $160 (including shipping) PRETTY GOOD PRICE HEY...all thankx to lazer I bought it for these reasons:
I can enjoy free to air serbo ch. on PAS8 where my original dish (ex trabs) was on..so didnt have to worry about that repositioning as I had newer version of tarbs box
and I also bought it later on when PAS8 gets encryp...I can enjoy both worlds on OPTUS B3 GLOBECAST which is on vertical and UBI which is on horizontal pol...
I worked out that its better for me to buy a box than wait later on when they unlock these ex tarbs boxes n charge me subscriptions...YICKS!!!
And if PAS8 offers later on a better Balkan package n I stay there oh well at least I ll sell it on ebay!
