If you use the TARBS box you can only get ONE transponder at a time, its not like a Nokia or A humax where you can add heaps of different freq/s/r/fec, the TARBS box is classified as a DTH box you put the home freq in and the rest tag along, same as Foxtel and Austar. On Nss6 if you want to get the both "X" TARBS transponders you must use another Digital FTA box say I use a Nokia I have over 100 different sets Of Freq/S/R and FEC's.
Enjoy while it last, I will find out more info within the next week or two regarding the "X" channels on NSS6 and Thaicom.

Hi Phil and crew,

(I'll try to remember to call you back tomorrow Phil !!)

You say all KuBand transponders turned off on Pas 8 ??

Even the TV Jedi Pay service ?? a completely different company ?? That's 3 Pay TV companies in the last three weeks over Australia..

NSS6 seems to have replaced TARBS with some Arabic channels?? Moderate Christian and Muslim ones..

Turned my big dish to Asia Sat 3, I'll watch NOW TV for free thanks..

and as for TARBS receivers... boat anchors. No way any new service won't be using the NEW WORLD ORDER, ie NDS (news data systems) yeah yeah you guessed it news-corp..

seeing a trend here ??

cheers Flyman..

HI,
Just some more information on World media international I asked them if I would be able to use TARBS' equipment to view the channels that they would supply and this is what they sent back:

In the next week you may be able to watch few of the channels to keep
you
entertained until we resolve the issue. You may use the current
equipment until
the new distribution structure is clear for all. The channel line up is
still
not finalised. All that information will be ready in due time and we
will
certainly notify you with pleasure.

Mike

[ 13. Very Interesting, we will have 6 Pay TV providers in Australia and you wonder why they are making no money.
WMI, I wonder how much money they have lost so far.

To our valued Broadcasters,

Last July 2, PricewaterhouseCoopers were appointed by PanAmsat to act as Receivers Managers for TARBS World TV for the non-payment of three months of transponder lease fees to PanAmsat which triggered a clause within a secured note that we have signed with them.

This came as a total surprise to Mike and I, who have been trying to get an audience with PanAmsat over the last month and half for a meeting to renegotiate transponder fees and payments.

By 11:15am Wednesday, 7 July, we were informed by the Receivers that PanAmsat has made the decision to turn off all signals on PAS 8 Ku over Australia. We made a plea to keep the signals on until 6pm that day to allow us to inform the subscribers of what was to happen and determine how best to manage their questions and emotions. Our request was not granted and at 12 noon Wednesday the signals went down.

We are saddened for our subscribers who deserved an explanation, but we were not given a chance by the Receivers to do so.

Mike and I are continuing to try to find a solution to this situation and to try to bring the signals back as soon as we can. Unfortunately this will require a few days and probably a huge commitment to PAS for the continued use of their transponders over Australia as well as additional funding to bring the business forward.

Mike and Regina Boulos

TARBS Australia

Don't throw your boxes away I have been saying this for days!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes FOXTEL owes and has lost hundreds of millions and TARBS got FUCKED up because of 3 months of Transponders lease.
I say it again and again, Mike should have KEPT out of "THE NEW WORLD ORDER MURDOCH U.S. EMPIRE" + he should have never use any Satellite controlled by the Yanks knowing that one day it could come back and bite him.
In simple Mike Boulos was in Dispute with PanAmSat because the new owners or better still co-owners, Murdoch and company out of the blue lifted the cost on each transponder. Mike Boulos objected to the sudden outrageous increase in costs, which unfortunately caused the above. If Mike could wind back the clock he definitely would have only used NSS satellites, they are reasonable on their prices and looking for new customers, especially for NSS5.

[ 14. Uruguay no. I tried the Tarbs stbox,on pas8 dish, same as old tarbs dish, also onanother dish setup for nss6 satelite, tried several different freq.combinations.all no go! tarbs box is now sitting by the shelf redundant.I used an aftermarket, self bought Emtech receiver, used no card, and input similar tarbs freq.etc to get Fta channels, some! off the old tarbs dish for Pas8 satelite. If anybody has achieved some better results, please post them so we can all try them to get more channels, thanks

Lazer your Blindscan receiver seems the go for these scans, channel searchs,on these occasions.Dont have a blind scan receiver myself in my collection of receivers. If you dont mind who have you purchased your unit from?was it fair price?May purchase one to keep on top of these channel searchs myself also.
