But if they do, it’d mean that they have been bullied out of competition, which would make UBI the meanie then, wouldn’t it?!

One of our labourers today told me that TV Plus wan't the Tarbs boxes for no reason except to stop the future customer connecting to UBI knowing they have no new mentor boxes yet.
Talk about rumours getting around.

Sounds about right to me. I feel sorry for the customers when they want to go to UBI and can't as TV Plus took it off them. Can you imagine how pissed off the customers are going to be when they can't get it back from TV Plus.

Since PWC haven't picked up the boxes I would say the customer. It' been over 3 months.

It is interesting, Horizon TV+ has no interest in Tarbs boxes, they leave them to customers. Why? UBI is not a competitor for them because it does not planning to have Russian service in the near future.

All,
It's the customer’s decision to give it up. If they want a discount, trade the box in, if not keep the box and pay the full price.
Not that I agree with paying any install at all, you see. I recon all providers have to wake up to themselves and if they bind you to a contract then it should be a free install!!!
If it's on a monthly basis, then yeah sure, charge for the equipment as you don't know how long they'll be on for.

Yeah, same as foxtel, they offer free installation even with 6 months contract when they have specials. So, why the heck they don't! Most probably, they know the majority of the ppl joining to TV+, ex-tarbs customers who have allready got all installation done as well as boxes. They are so smart as they're planning to kill many birds with one bullet! Offering discount for an existing installation is making double profit as all the equipment is allready there, plus holding ex-tarbs box is another tick for non-returning UBI customer...

[ 16. Exclusive?
And why would they do that, now? So they can charge like a wounded bull, perhaps? Maybe they are afraid of competition?

...food for thought!

In essence, don’t even try to be a smart arse with me m8!
I haven’t lost a discussion yet. Furthermore if you get me on a roll, I may even expose the providers for what they really are…

I’d like to have this discussion two to three years later when all you service providers “sit at a round table and count your winnings/losses” after the last customer disconnects from you as they finally get their feed, almost free, from some young new company, radically different in their approach to business, not like the already 60 year old mentality of all you blood suckers.
I am sick of the schemes you guy’s come up with, with only one intention…how to con the customer.
The customer is your livelihood man!!!
Don’t bite the hand that feeds you God damn it!!! When will you guys learn this. The concept, for all you illiterates, has a name. It’s called CUSTOMER SERVICE or CUSTOMER FOCUS.
