Now we all want to put picture on our new forum what you do is......<br />1/ Open an account with http://geocities.yahoo.com/ <br />2/ Before you think of uploading photo's to geocity PLEASE RESIZE THEM NO BIGGER THAN 100Kb, A little less like around 80Kb is perfect, My Monaro shots are only 88Kb each This way they fit on our new forum, and the people that have dial up don't have to wait 20 minutes to see the pictures. <br />3/ Once resized you go to GEOCITIES SITE and on the right hand side you will see EASY UPLOADClick that and a new window pops up PLEASE!! THE PHOTO NAME YOU ARE ABOUT TO UPLOAD , ENSURE YOU DON'T HAVE SPACES IN IT OTHERWISE IT WON'T UPLOAD EXAMPLE,,,,, hq monaro.jpg,,,, it should be hqmonaro.jpg NO SPACES BETWEEN LETTERS!!. <br />Now click the top BROWSE Button (THERE ARE ABOUT FIVE OF THESE) and a window POPS up and you search your own computer for that photo you want to upload to GEOCITIES Once uploaded go to file manager click view next to the relevant photo.<br />4/NOW Copy the link above EXAMPLE !!<br /> http://www.geocities.com/YOURUSERNAME/PIC<br />and after copying you can use this to add to your Monaro Club Forum post.<br />5/You start your post on the Monaro club forum, Finish all the writing, them down the bottom you see a series of boxes, the one you want is called <br /> IMAGEClick that, A window pops up NOW click in that window, REMOVE the HTTP and paste in the link from the GEOCITIES SITE<br />Once happy your link from the geocities site is in <br />just click ok then ADD NEW TOPIC and bingo you have pictures!!!.<br />Please all help each other, we all aren't computer nerds. <br /> PLEASE ALL PRINT THIS OUT <br />thanks, if you need any help give me a ring. Thank's Phil your instructions were easy to follow i just need to play around here some more and I will get the hang of it as you can see on the bowling nights pickys

If anyone needs images resized so they aren't massive let me know <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" /> <br /><br />I'm not sure if they are accepting new accounts but you can also host images on www.photobucket.com and another really good site www.flickr.com<br /><br />Flickr have a really good system to organse photos into. a basic account will get you three folders so you can have something like 'Car Shows' 'outings' 'general' etc etc. Would be great for the club because you can comment on photos and so forth.
