The page Peter recommends is great. It does reference packet and identifies a tentative packet frequency.
Has there yet been a successful packet QSO?
Mike (N1NG)

I have been monitoring the downlink frequency for ever! I haven't heard anything yet.
Per a news bulletin posted, they suspect a problem with the TNC parameters. In order to fix it, they would have to bring a computer in from another part of the station to reprogram the TNC. AT this time, they are too busy.
THIS INFORMATION IS FROM 30 DAYS AGO AND MAY HAVE CHANGED!!!
I tried to log on to...
http://www.amsat.org/amsat/news/ans.html
...for updated info but amsat.org is offline as of 1855 UTC 03MAR01.
