Yes I cant get away from this subject "DISCRIMATION" but its RIFE everywhere.....
Two months ago I started to look around at Holden dealers looking around to buy a new Monaro CV8. After doing some homework and running around I decided Not to buy a new one Why??? why should you when there is a Smorgasboard of them out there either Private or From Car yards some with under 2000 to 5000k on the clock or 4 months old and you are paying on the road for around $10,000 off new car prices, you would have to be mad to buy one NEW!
Well the fun started when I visited ALL holden dealers for new or used ones But because I am A cross between Maltese and Italian with a bit of Arabic in me I REFUSED TO GET DRESSED UP...
SO when I visited 3 out of the 5 Holden Dealers in Northern Brisbane (but I Rang them all first telling them I was coming to see them in order) I walked to the lot or Yard walked around the Monaro kept walking around with my missus holding a clip board and we kept walking for another fucking 30 minutes around this Monaro and YES THE SALEMAN'S walked right past us probably thinking look at these two deadbeats looking at this $64,000 car... Tyre kickers, wankers, only wasting our time.
After 30 minutes on the lot I grabbed my clipboard and my Missus and we charged out grumbling,,,,,,,Now this happened to 3 out of the 5 and when I came home later one of the Dealer's rang me as I walked in the door he said "Phill did you come!!" "we did not see you," I said I was there with my missus, (check your security cameras.) I was Dressed in Red and I was the one with holes in my Clothes.
Anyhow next day we decided to visit another Holden Dealer which had another Monaro on its lot (Devil yellow MAN, with only 5800k on clock) and it was very reasonably priced actually it was the cheapest on ALL the lots of all the Holden dealers except whats available for private sale in the papers so I said to my missus here we go again we will be standing there like a stale bottle of piss,,,,this was not the case the Saleman came out immediately and said to me Good morning sir You must be Mr& Mrs Debono how are you, I replied Ok thanks we looked at the car I did not test drive the car I didn't have to, I explained what could I buy private and showed him the evidence on the clipboard, and from other yards so we went inside and talked "TURKEY" and after about 1hr of tactics we were the owners of this lovely car. Now in all my life I have only bought HOLDENS (6 to be precise) and I have been shit on by other Holden dealers in Sydney twice (I was tricked on minor damage on Vehicle) they did not repair it because it was not on the contract, and the second time they damaged the Vehicle during a service and denied it.
Well I dont believe it!!! the Holden dealer that I bought this CV8 Monaro from "EAGERS HOLDEN AT WINDSOR) conducted themselves 101%, From the first minute I walked on the lot till I drove the car out 3 days later, now when I found a scratch under the front Bumper bar I asked them could they fix it, so they did, the Bar was removed and repainted in 100% matching finish. Now I did not have to twist his arm nor did I have to pull my hair out and he did put this damage on the contract to be rapaired without me putting any pressure on the Salesman,,,,,,thank you Eagers, I dont believe it, buying a car without being screwed when you are not looking.
Again from the minute that I arrived on the lot, 3 days later the young man that picked me up from my house to take me to Eagers (his name was Jamie) he called me "sir", to the people who detailed the car all I have to say is "THANKYOU" for a very professional job.

I have no worries recommending anyone that if you want to get treated like I was when buying a car regardless if its new or used at EAGERS HOLDEN at WINDSOR and ask for Malcolm Vice Ph Number 3109-6711 at 143 Newmarket Rd Windsor
Thanks Guys
Phillip Debono

As for the other Discriminating Holden Dealers that expected to see me dress in a suit to buy this car, Find a river with water in it and go for a jump.
The funny thing about this Monaro I bought 2 weeks ago is it was in another Car Yard not far away,(it had 1700k on the clock) now it was there for sale on Ramps with a Blue Monaro next to it back in late June early July. (BOYS CHECK YOUR BOOKS) Now I sat in the Yellow monaro we waited for 15 Minutes and NO SALESMAN WHATSOEVER so we went on our merry way. Now we would have bought it there and then in JULY if some one would have got off their arse.

[ 03. Phil
You must be lucky because look at the latest in the 10 most hated and complained about, the motor car industry is still the No 1, Lawyers just behind, and Doctors slowly catching up.
Phil well dressed!! You have to be joking I know people that have known you for 25 years and they tell me that have NEVER NEVER seen you dressed up,if not they have told me you have gone shopping with holes in you shorts and undies.
Now back to the Holden Dealer that you bought the Monaro from, they should be commended and knowing what you are like you will be definitely passing that message on considering you are a Member of the Monaro club in QLD and the next question that existing members that are chasing or about to purchase a new or used Monaro will ask you where did you buy it From, were they ok, Did they piss you off in any way???.

Now if any company has any brains you do what Eagers at Windsor did, act in a professonal way, because people like you that know so many others and because of you web site that gets over 25,000 hits a month and you get so many emails regarding your Satellite Knowledge many people respect you for you information .
KNOW I READ THE OTHER POST ABOUT THAT SO CALL REPAIR SHOP THAT RIPPED YOU OFF FOR A SO CALLED SERVICE ON YOU VR COMMODORE, NO YOUR REACTION WILL BE THE EXACT OPPOSITE.
YOU WILL GIVE THEM BAD PUBLICITY...
Peter

Phil
I dont believe it, a car yard that does the right thing .
You said the Monaro you bought was in another Holden Dealer only 3 months ago,???what happened they could not sell it so they used it then shifted it to another of their yards and what dumb arses, you could have bought it at the first yard with only 1700kms on the odometer.

Fred

Fred
Yes you are correct,I actually started to look to buy one in Mid April but there weren't many low mileage used one's around and if they were they wanted too much!
I had at least 15 of them on my shopping list from a month ago ,2 were advertised for over 2.5 Months in the Courier Mail as private sales One was only $52,000 and only had 3,800Kms on the Clock (poor Bastard)why did I not buy this one ( the colour "FLAME" I HATE IT !!)some were the Right colour Devil (Yellow) or Red Hot (Red) but were Automatics, a Monaro as an Auto "YUCK".
Phill
