Zone alarm will tell you Jason.
The first time you install it, you will be amazed at what goes on!!!
Most (repeat most!!) of the port scans are spam and stuff, but some are the pimply faced dole bludgers with P4's and time on their hands.....

Sygate Free firewall allows you to do a BACKTRACE and a "Whois" yes spelt that way.
www.sygate.com
Get the Personal free Firewall
When you email the company as most have an Abuse dept.
Send them a copy of the FULL log, It goes down very well that some of their Employees are trying to hack into you computer.

Yes at one company I have worked for, employees sometimes have plenty of spare unsupervised Net. time to create chaos on their employers systems??nothing more creative to do but be a net pest!seen it with my own eyes, and they give a delitefull chuckle when theyve invaded somebody elses system,Shit sometimes I think a complete Overhal of the internet is needed? to get rid of all this corruption and manipulation??But How?

There is no way, that is the thing. Even if they made some new thing, it would be cracked. Take the N-Gage, it was cracked in under a day. No matter what industry you are in, there is always some form of corruption.
