UBI selling a greek package - AUS-CITY Message Forums

I just had a chat to a good mate of mine, and he told me that ubi tried to sell him a sub for the greek channels. He asked what greek channels and the told him ERT, which is of course FREE. He told them that and they started to ummm and ohhh.. Has onlyone else been told the same rubbish , so they can flog a subscription????? mixo

they told me they only have MAD when i called nothing about ERT and they couldt sell me a subscription cause they said its Free Preview is on now and they will notify me when the service is ready [ 28. November 2004, 05:26 PM: Message edited by: Lazer ]

We are getting close to the end of the year, I hope for all the Greeks sake you get a good package for your money

I hope we do as well, but they should'nt be telling people that they have a greek package and tell them its this and that. Why dont they get people phone numbers and ring them when the package is finalized??? At least you wont upset what would be a potential subscriber..

I would be curious to see how many greeks do come back to ubi.Most that i know that had the old tarbs have gone to foxtel. time will tell! mixo

If they rang your friend you'll probably find that it wasn't UBI but rather some scammer <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/default/wink.gif" />

They were offering free upgrades to the RAI & Antenna for new subscribers , giving them a couple of months of these channels if im correct It worked well. I didnt hear any subs crying about it. [ 03. Foxtel is not interested on ethnic TV on the large scale

How much are they paying for one extra channel like rai or ant on top, and remember you still need the foxtel basic package.

cost about $65-$70 all up and the greek channel ant1 cost bout $15 plus u have to have the basic packages which is $50-$55

Vlad REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE He rang up UBI and was told that dribble. I think basic foxtel with antenna is around 60 bucks Direct debit. Dont forget foxtel is just as shift, because they used the same dish as tarbs, they just put the new box in.In one case they charged my relative, because they could not get to the phone line. Can I generalize... ALL PAYTV COMPANIES ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They just do it legally...... mixo

and also here ppl have to have fox cable and if they dont have that have to get that installed and i know an old lady down the rd which pays about $65 a month for foxtel and only thing she watches and she never changes the channel is ant1 bastards wouldt give her only ant1 or any kind of discount at all she very old lady and on pension and she has to pay $65 a month for only one channel ripoff

ohh poor thing.....i think these old people are really mistreated sometimes!!!!!!! laser if u can tell her to switch to ubi or something when the greek ch come..at least then she can switch to other greek channels
