Posted By: Jedi Knight Re: Ubi Transponders Down - Mon 12 Sep 2005 01:58:AM
Its was a 2 cent simple fault that shut down the AMP for transponder 14 H and L, Its back on and thanks to the people that dropped everything and rushed out to fix the Problem.

I was noticing constant cutouts and pixelization of every channel on UBI from 4AM this morning... Something must have been going on from last night it seems....

Any news on that? Also it wasn't my side as I tested that with an FTA and a Humax 5400Z and they too were doing the same on the FTA channels.
Posted By: alcatron Re: Ubi Transponders Down - Mon 12 Sep 2005 07:34:AM
The channels are probably all being migrated through the new teleports and hence issues occur. Should be all fixed once the migration phase done.

Do you know what teething problems are? you would expect that from any new infrastructure.

Like all, everything has a used by date. Satellites have a life span of 15 yrs (i think) and im pretty sure B3 is on 13yrs now. Thats why I say how long before it changes satellites
