At the risk of pushing on as if nothing has happened....
could one of the GS gurus tell me.. behind the polished wheel covers of say the later model GS's are the wheels themselves the same as what appear to be on the earlier GS.

Wheels with wheel covers:

The earlier wheels with the small central caps:

The wheels in this photo are up to 1975/AM(Annee Modele)76, when they went to rectangular slots rather than oval.
The first of the GS Pallases shipped to Aus had the rectangular slotted rims (and the DS style more angular full wheel covers, rather than the ones on Kermit). The later shipments came with slotless rims that had a slightly indented pattern around the central area, still then used for a smaller cap on Clubs, etc.

(If I had a clue what was where here I'd attach a photo, but I don't and it's too late for me to be anything other than a "Space Cadet":) .)

Thanks Bruce, have always liked the look of slotted wheels so GS Cits are no exception. So it looks like an early model GS with oval slotted wheels for me. Or a late model with early model wheels.

Attachments here are pretty easy to do. Using full reply rather than quick reply, simply click on file manager and browse for the image you want to upload. But I think the images need to be a small size and not sure how you convert normal 2MB or 4MB digital camera images down to a size that fits.

Here's a link to the other GS at last weeks Melbourne concours.
Going by the plates it's a 1976 model and got the rectangular shaped slotted wheels.
