Anyone interested in saving this one from the recycler? Registered in NSW for one more week. 4 speed auto needs recon. Takes about 5 minutes of warming before it changes out of 1st, then operates normally. Only rust is around fuel filler pipe. Body is good but paint oxidized and dash has suffered from the weather. Good engine but fan is noisy and one electric window doesn't work. 230,000ks. Could become a good car again with some tlc or plenty of parts if someone is interested, but it needs to go soon.
Cheers Papster

If you strip it, or if someone else strips it, my hand is up for the diff! I'll even come and remove it myself! Sedan or wagon?

It's a sedan

Even more interested now. Where is the car? Would you sell bits off the car?

Hi Scotty,

Are you a la Demannu under the old AF site? Trying to re-connect after the big crash.

Thanks.

Yep, that's me. I have a few people I need to track down, got a lot of stuff to deliver to Brisbane and Melbourne in the next couple of weeks and don't have the details anymore of who wanted what!

Hi Scotty, the car is near Ballina on the NSW north coast. Didn't intend to strip it, but what are you after?

Thanks

Yes, the diff for a start, and the speedo drive gears from the gearbox. What colour is the interior? How are the seat cushions up front? Mine are flat, and not really suited to 26 hour interstate trips anymore.

Project.... yes... involves a V6 and lots of RPM.

Hi Papster,
I am chasing a 505GTi (series 2 manual) sedan and could take the entire car off your hands. What were you chasing for it? Cheers

Seats are blue and still comfortable. Daughter smoked for a while and it has a burn hole in the drivers backrest. Would be easily repaired I think.

Cheers, Papster

Hi Genesequa,
This is a series 2 4 speed auto. Not sure if a manual conversion is possible or not. Would prefer the whole car to go. Still interested?

Cheers, Papster

Yes still interested,
I am on the Gold coast so picking up the whole car not a problem, would it be driveable? Will it still have rego this weekend? Thanks

Rego runs out tomorrow, and yes it will get to the Gold Coast without a problem. I'm not working tomorrow and could drive it up, would just need to organize a lift home somehow. I'll see what I can do.
Cheers, Papster
PS. Give me a call on 0428669669 if you get a chance

Genesequa, if you're interested in selling/swapping the diff in it if you get it, I am coming to Brisbane this week and can bring you virtually any ratio that takes your fancy, including the correct ratio for a 5 speed 505.

Let me know if you're interested. I am happy to do the swap for you if you like.
