After a long awaited 11 months I finally received my new hand made genuine Japanese blade.

In the typical Japanese attention to detail its absolutely a beautiful piece of art!

Congratulations! shake Nice new sword! samurai

The saya finish is beautiful. I love the black and white -- what is made from?

The saya is made from shark skin applied to the saya and then sanded back until its level and smooth.

Shark skin is also used in the same on the tsuka (handle) under the bindings.
