Well one of Impulse's supervisers came out this arvo and all looks good,,nothing was mentioned about a disclaimer, and only positive talk was given how to remove the old coating on the roof.
The Pressure cleaner to be used should be able to do the job, the only trick is it requires two inputs of tap water from 2 different sources (use my next doors water + mine )by doing this the high pressure cleaner can be guaranteed a constant flow of water.
If the team coming on Friday week is as positive as this gentleman that came today we will strip this nightmare, as the superviser said this is the worst case of a pathetic roof restoration done years ago that he has EVER SEEN.
I also volunteered to help in any way! its in my interest to do what I have to to do a 100% job.
Also we will be doing a TOTAL 100% RE-BED.
So this is what we have agreed,
1/Pressure stripping using the maximuum PSI with two water supplies we expect about 95% will come off
2/Total re-bed
3/Complete re-pointing
4/I will scrape of what ever of the old coating is left with scraper, or my teeth if I have to.
5/Then another lower pressure Water clean without damaging the re-pointing
6/then the sealing
7/priming
8/then the final coats in Mist Green.

Lets see some action boys!!!!Next post will be after Friday 18th.
Phil
