EarthKAM Operations Continue on Space Station<br /><br />Work continued Thursday aboard the International Space Station with an<br />experiment that allows students to get an orbital view of Earth. The<br />experiment, called EarthKAM (Earth Knowledge Acquired by Middle school<br />students), enables thousands of students to photograph and examine Earth<br />from a space crew's perspective.<br /><br />Using the Internet, the students control a special digital camera mounted<br />onboard the Station.<br />In other activities, the Expedition crew continued runs with a<br />Russian/German materials science experiment and navigation software<br />upgrades.
