NASA Administrator and Media to View New Orion Mission Control Center at Johnson

Media are invited to meet with NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden during a visit to the agency's Johnson Space Center in Houston from 1-2 p.m. CDT, Thursday, April 10.

During the visit, media will join Bolden and Johnson Center Director Ellen Ochoa inside Mission Control in the newly renovated and historic White Flight Control Room previously used during the Space Shuttle Program. The control room now will be used to support NASA's Orion spacecraft during deep space missions to an asteroid and eventually Mars.

As part of the event, Bolden will be available to discuss ongoing preparations for Exploration Flight Test-1 of the Orion spacecraft.

Media need to contact the Johnson newsroom at 281-483-5111 no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 for credentials and entry to the center.
