Abstract: Two airborne photon-counting laser altimeters have been deployed in direct support of National Aeronautics and Space Adminsitration (NASA's) upcoming Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) mission. Multiple Altimeter Beam Experimental Lidar (MABEL) was developed specifically for ICESat-2 testing and development.
