Abstract: The Johnson Space Center Rocknest (JSC-RN) simulant was developed in response to a need by NASA's Advanced Exploration Systems (AES) In Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) project for a simulant to be used in component and system testing for water extraction from Mars regolith.
