FIA president Jean Todt's plans to create a much greener motor racing environment have been reaffirmed late last week, when the Frenchman set a 2-year deadline for the creation of a new global racing series for electric cars. According to the Financial Times, Todt will have until 2013 to set the basis of such a series, with races to go on at venue that are currently part of Formula 1's calendar.
