Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED) reported a magnitude 4.2 quake in Japan near Namie, Futaba-gun, Fukushima, only 13 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, at 4:01 am local time at a moderately shallow depth of 42.5 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
