Pioneer have done it again. The A05 is a nice drive and supports up to x4 for DVD-R, so I can burn a DVD in under 15 minutes. Also supports DVD-RW up to x2, so 30 minutes for a full DVD-RW

Nice and recommend them highly.

Jason,

I would stick to DVD-R The discs are a LOT cheaper and DVD+R is not supported by the DVD Forum.

+R was developed by Sony as there own 'standard'. Now there latest writer supports -R, many think they are now comforming to the might of the DVD Forum (all the studios, manufacturers, etc are all members and set the standards).

There are also reports of the so called 'better' format of +R being more compatiable, but 70% of first generation DVD players will play -R and NOT +R. Second generation players, the odds STILL favour -R.
