Guys,<br /><br />Long time reader but short time member here..... I guess I'm starting the quest for a car that I have been wanting for some time now.... I live on the north side of Brisbane and am moving soon closer in to the city.<br /><br />I guess its the same old story, guy has cars earlier in life, wife arrived, kids arrived, cars left, kids getting older and now I've got more free time.......and same old ending, this is when cars come back into my life..<br /><br />I guess I want to ease on into it....I'll be looking for a HQ (if enough $$) but realistically probably a nice HZ or HX with little to no work to do on it.<br /><br />I'll be lurking around and saying hi now and then and on the look out for the car.<br /><br />If anyone has any advice on how to target and how best to authenticate the car, let me know. I would appreciate it. <br /><br />I'm looking in all the obvious places, websites and papers. Hi Ray,<br /><br />I thought a reasonable starting point was around 10K but I guess it's like everything.... the better ones are always just a little bit more.<br /><br />I guess that's why I was a bit realistic chasing a HX or HZ rather than a HQ..but not sure. Hi Neil, there are a few HQ,X and J's around but you have to look hard to find a good one, price wise you start at 16k up.<br />Two at Vic point for sale one 17k looks good from a distance and one for 25k but past a street car, registered but good for willowbank.<br />Happy hunting.<br />Reckless

Thanks Rick for the heads up on those cars...<br /><br />They sound a bit out of my league....I'm sure the Q's are bit bit rich for me now... but I'm keen for a HX or HZ. Surely a 'good' condition one of these can't be far off the mark with 10K??<br />I'm happy to get one with good running gear and engine but not fussed on paint, as I will repaint anyway in a few years.<br /><br />That Champagne HQ from the southside of Brisbane looks too good to be true, and have seen it advertised for 3 different prices??? So I'm not sure what's going on there??<br /><br />I'm thinking I'll concerntrate on the HX's and HZ's now... so if anyone sees any for around that price, let me know please.<br /><br />Thanks<br />Neil
