No, this isn’t a new curved version of the iPhone.

While Apple is rumored to be working on a curved edition of its iconic smartphone for 2017, the tech giant obviously didn’t develop this device.

Instead, Reddit user Dianna_2Ns says a friend accidentally dropped his iPhone while running on a treadmill.

The exercise machine’s back roller was covered, so it “got caught under the belt and went all the way around.”

Happened while we were down in Miami for our friends’ wedding he was officiating!” Dianna_2Ns wrote Friday. “Very luckily he didn’t have his whole speech/whatever saved as a Note on there or anything ...”

It’s unclear exactly when the incident occurred, whether the iPhone still works (probably not) or even if this is a genuine account of what went down.

Fellow Redditors have used the opportunity, however, to recall amusing but ultimately unsuccessful attempts at saving their damaged smartphones from the scrapheap.
