As of 6 April 2017, Ukrainian explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) teams have cleared the territory of Balakliya town and 9 settlements in the vicinity. The contaminated area in and around Balakliya was reduced from 10 km to 1 km. Source: Balakliya returns to normal life
