Just 9 minutes ago, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Al Hoceima, Al-Hoceima, Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Morocco. The tremor was recorded early morning on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, at 1:17 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 4 km below the surface.
The event was filed by Spain's Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 3.0 earthquake as well. Other agencies reporting the same quake include the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera, IPMA) at magnitude 2.8, and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) at magnitude 3.0.
