A magnitude 3.7 earthquake near Argostoli, Kefallonia, Ionian Islands, Greece, was reported only 10 minutes ago by the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in Greece. The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of 5 km beneath the epicenter after midnight on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at 12:17 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
