An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 occurred only 9 minutes ago 40 km west of Argostoli, Greece, The Seismological Survey of Serbia (SSS) reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 88 km beneath the epicenter near Argostoli, Kefallonia, Ionian Islands, Greece, after midnight on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at 12:14 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage.
