Flight Operations Summary

This report was generated by the HST Automated Report System @2011-12-03 17:02:00 GMT

Significant Spacecraft Anomalies: (The following are preliminary reports
of potential non-nominal performance that will be investigated.)

HSTARs:
13127 - SSR-3 Playback Unexpectedly Stopped@335/1714z

COMPLETED OPS REQUEST:
none

COMPLETED OPS NOTES:
none

FGS ACQ STATUS:
SCHEDULED SUCCESSFUL
FGS GSAcq 7 7
FGS REAcq 4 4
OBAD with Maneuver 8 8

SIGNIFICANT EVENTS:
At 335/17:36:34 last night, SSR-3 locked up during a Science data playback (HSTAR 13127). The event
occurred in an SAA and appears the same as HSTAR 13012 on SSR-1 from day 256. COP 7.77 was started
to confirm and clear the suspected Reed Solomon bus error. The error status reflected a different
value than expected so the commanding was not performed to clear the error.

At 22:13 UTC, Pacor successfully processed SSR-3 dump data that was collected via Ops Request #
19175 - Reset Bit 14 of SSR-3. HST's nominal DMS configuration was restored at 22:20 UTC,
allowing science data to be recorded to both SSRs. The FOT will resume nominal Flight Plan
execution through the ACE. A User Generated Key Monitor (UGKM) has been deployed to autonomously
detect future lockups on either SSR. Many thanks to the FOT for their excellent support in
response to this anomaly! Mark Slater HST Systems Management Engineer
