The contract comprises 500 remote stations as well as one redundant hub station. It will be operated by the Hungarian service provider Hungaro DigiTel (HDT) and is going to be implemented in summer 2004.<br />

Fox Entertainment Group's Fox Cable Networks division will utilise the new capacity to distribute Fox Sports Net HD (FSN HD) and other future High-Definition (HD) services. Earlier this year, Fox signed a multi-year, multi-satellite, multi-transponder deal with the PanAmSat, consolidating its entire suite of US programming onto PanAmSat's global fleet and as well as a significant portion of its international traffic.<br />

The addition of this data set will allow users to overlay traditional 2D satellite maps on elevation data to achieve a 3D representation of the world. When used in conjunction with the GLCF's land cover change data, essentially a 4D representation of the Earth surface through time can be achieved.<br />

Results from ESA's ERS satellites helped establish the widespread existence of these 'rogue' waves and are now being used to study their origins.<br />

The technology makes use of an array of dual airbags that, upon ground impact, releases air from the outer bags of the system, allowing the capsule to settle softly to the ground on its inner airbags.<br />
