Don't forget, it could be your LNB. The receiver resolves BER from C/N (carrier level divided by noise level) The more carrier the more C/N the more noise, the less C/N. Most installers only carry level meters and can only measure half of the equation. A bad LNB can make lots of signal AND lots of noise. Also, its not hard to line up an antenna on a side lobe that will work ok in clear skys but fall over quickly in weather.<br /><br />Also, we are at the end of the sun outage season - don't mistake poor performance for 20 min at 10:30am as your problem.
